With Bo He, Lian Qiao, Huang Qin and Huang Lian, for acne due to Wind-Heat Attacking the upper body.
Rz. Chuanxiong Chuan Xiong 6g Invigorates the Blood, promotes the movement of Qi, expels Wind and alleviates pain.
Sm. Platycladi Bai Zi Ren 4g Nourishes the Heart, calms the Spirit and astringes Yin Deficiency sweat.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 9g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm and pus and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
With Gan Cao, disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity, and expels pus for Lung abscess with expectoration of pus, pain in the chest and flanks and Excess disorders in the Upper Jiao with no disorder in the Lower Jiao.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 6g Drains and resolves Fire toxicity and drains Stomach Fire.
With Huang Qin and Zhi Zi, for Fire toxin in the three burners.
